Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager (Recommendations) to own and deliver meaningful improvements in item & vendor recommendations, customer satisfaction, and commercial impact. You will work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Business stakeholders to translate complex user and marketplace problems into shipped, measurable solutions.

Our Discovery organisation sits at the centre of our marketplace, building world‑class Search, Recommendation and intent‑collection systems that power brands such as Foodpanda, eFood, Glovo, PedidosYa, HungerStation and Talabat—serving millions of requests every day. These systems are mission‑critical for an always‑on marketplace, demanding high availability and low‑latency performance while driving significant commercial value

The main responsibilities of the Product Manager include:

  • Own a defined Recommendations problem area and roadmap 

  • Define clear problem statements, success metrics, and trade-offs

  • Partner with Engineering & Data Science to deliver solutions end-to-end

  • Run experiments, analyze results, and iterate based on impact

  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years experience in Product Management or equivalent

  • Experience shipping products in data- or platform-heavy environments

  • Strong analytical thinking; comfort with metrics and experimentation

  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with search, recommendations, marketplaces, ML-driven products, or experimentation platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with relevance evaluation, labeling, or offline metrics.

  • SQL or hands-on analytics experience.

  • Multi-region or multi-brand exposure.
